Philippe and Cesarie Yard

Images courtesy of Blanpied Rubini with a bit of my own layout magic.

The work of Philippe and Cesarie Yard has an ethereal haunting quality, the use of strong natural light casts splinters and shadows rendering the body it touches with a canvas like quality where the light now paints the picture.
Skin tones are translucent as light passes over, capturing the contours of the figure bringing a greater depth with it almost Lucian Freud like in its exploration.
This is again an intimate portrait but unlike Collier Schorr and Mel Bles who focus on building the relationship between artist and muse, Philippe and Cesaire study the human body almost with a beautiful scientific quality, slightly voyeuristic in it`s intimacy.
